Todays device is quite special. I was sure it was a Selen rectifier diode based on the looks of it, but when sweeping it, it seems more like a overvoltage protection device.

Today its finaly time for the triode! And this time there will be 3 of them.

Honestly, at this point, I’m a bit unsure if I have devices enough to cover all of the days untill the 24th. Without retreating onto hevily experimental devices. I guess time will show.

Today is a interesting, old 5V Zener diode from the early 60s. Its in a metal capsula and made by Intermetall.

This funny voltage regulator tube appeared here, so why not curve trace it?

Halfway there now! Today is a Balast tube, Amperite 9-4.

108V voltage regulator will be the 2. thermonic element we curve trace.

Notice how its not realy linear on the start up.

Todays component is a Germanium NPN transistor 2N1302.

Notice that the linearity isn’t great.
