Curve tracer christmas calendar 15 – Triode

Today its finaly time for the triode! And this time there will be 3 of them.

Honestly, at this point, I’m a bit unsure if I have devices enough to cover all of the days untill the 24th. Without retreating onto hevily experimental devices. I guess time will show.

Curve tracer christmas calendar 13 – Funny Phillips Voltage Regulator tube

This funny voltage regulator tube appeared here, so why not curve trace it?

Probably a bit leaky after being in storage since it was produced.

Curve tracer christmas calendar 10 – 0B2 Voltage regulator

108V voltage regulator will be the 2. thermonic element we curve trace.

Notice how its not realy linear on the start up.

Curve tracer christmas calendar 9 – Thyratron

Todays picture is a 6D4 Thyratron operating as noise generator.

And with that we are going to do some tube elements.

Curve tracer christmas calendar 8 – Germanium NPN

Todays component is a Germanium NPN transistor 2N1302.

Notice that the linearity isn’t great.

Another interesting curve by swapping around on the connections:

Voltage driven, with E and C swapped.
